Valerian Root

Does anyone else take this. I like to take 900-1350mg before bed, it helps me get to sleep...but I feel groggy in the morning sometimes. I notice that I get very lucid dreams when on it.
-------------------- "If we could sniff or swallow something that would, for five or six hours each day, abolish our solitude as individuals, atone us with our fellows in a glowing exaltation of affection and make life in all its aspects seem not only worth living, but divinely beautiful and significant, and if this heavenly, world-transfiguring drug were of such a kind that we could wake up next morning with a clear head and an undamaged constitution - then, it seems to me, all our problems (and not merely the one small problem of discovering a novel pleasure) would be wholly solved and earth would become paradise." - Aldous Huxley

if you like valerian root check out melatonin. similar lucid dreaming experience, best enjoyed with a full nights sleep.

Fail. Melatonin is one of the natural soporifics your body produces to induce sleep. If something produced by your body doesn't fit your definition of natural, then we must be speaking different languages.

He wasn't saying that about Melatonin, he was just quoting what that doctor said about valerian root in Fightclub.

man...no way, not for me at least. When ever I take that stuff, my legs become so fucking restless, then it makes it nearly impossible for me to fall asleep.

I heard its a sign I might have some kind of ADD, but I dunno...I don't know if I even think thats real.
Things like...benadryl makes me restless and not able to relax...and on amphetamines I am perfectly still and can sit in the same spot without moving for hours. I dunno

diphenhydramine = Dramamine?
Dramamine works well.
But I like melatonin and valerian root better...
There's other natural sleep aids as well?
Can anybody name a few?
Hops is one!
