In the grow room I am running 4 x 1000w lights in a room that is 16 x 20 Right now I have the girls ( swiss cheese) about 3 foot from the lights and heat stress isnt a issue, but keeping that room cool is. What would you think about raising the lights up to 4-5 foot above the girls? This would be easier on my duct work and I should be able to turn off the swamp cooler for a few hours during lights on. How much do you guys think the added distance from light would affect the nuggets ( size, density, and such?)
It will impact it greatly, I think its about every (12?) inches you move the light away, the intensity is cut in half. Swamp coolers draw like no power, why do you need to turn it off?

Wouldn't do 5ft though everything under the canopy will be fluffy.
