There's nothing wrong with the MG perlite, its just a very light NPK ratio. I used it for 85% of my seedlings, so they would have a little nourishment from the start, before they got their first dose of nutes, like soil plants do. I can honestly say, from looking at the seedlings in normal non-nutritious perlite, the MG helped early growth.
