I actually prefer the taste of the extracted stuff, it's got a lot more of that thick rich chocolaty hash flavor, the two combined are delicious it's on par with the Nepalese temple ball hash that I smoked in holland.
Also the oily extracted stuff by itself is a pain in the ass to handle, it sticks to everything and just makes a mess, mixing it this way gives me a product that's easy to handle yet will sweat hash oil if left on a surface!
I was really surprised just how nice hash made this way is, I'd expected it to be harsh and maybe a bit shitty tasting but it's awesome. A few lucky people from these boards have smoked this stuff and I'm sure they'd agree with its quality.

cool man, i had my suspicions about the taste of the extract hash as i have only smoke kief hash before.

have you tried using IPA instead of Acetone? i haven't worked with acetone, or on this grand of a scale, but the product i get from IPA and a bunch of old stems and maybe a little bud gets me ripped and it only seems to need one pull.

Haha nah, i dont smoke shrooms personally, this just helped thicken the recipe. I honestly dont think the shroom powder does anything, though it all smokes up well and tastes spot on

is your screen a grid? or is it like lines one way?
if it's lines one way that makes sense. if it's lines crossing two directions that's harder to make sense of
150 micron and under LPI is basically at par. (ex. 150 microns will roughly equal 150 LPI)
220 micron would make for a very crude product so I should be looking for 150 and under.

even 150 is too big, the biggest size i would want would be equal to the "work bag" of a bubble bag set. Even that may be too big.

Next time I have a bunch of trim and popcorn, I'm going to make a bunch of butane honey oil and mix that with screened kief, it should make for some very interesting blond hash.

Silk screens are sold in art supply stores. I have seen them cost about $25. They're expensive, but they are already attached to the frames and are stratched tight already. They are near the paint section. I think they are for sieving dry paint pigments for making you're own paint, or maybe they're used for something like that t-shirt printing method.

Just in case some one wanted to know. I mean you walk into an art supply store, you want a cover, and want to understand how this goes, here you go. Nylon is also used for this by the way. We did some screen printing with just some loose weave silk my girlfriend had and some ModPodge. It's a glue that is water insoluble. So basically after it dries you now have a screen you can wash the paint off of. Basically we do it the hard core way where you just paint your images with small brushes and large amounts of ModPodge. But we also made some kick ass shirts .

Well I guess it depends what you think is worth while and what kind of yield you pull from your plants.
100grams of trim = 25 grams of hash which I'd say is worth while.. I wouldn't hesitate to make hash with half that amount of trim either.. hash can go a fairly long way :O
