Go back to grammar school degenerate junkie.
Quote:
Real-time protection, on-access scanning, background guard, resident shield, autoprotect, and other synonyms refer to the automatic protection provided by most antivirus, antispyware, and other antimalware programs, which is arguably their most important feature. This monitors computer systems for suspicious activity such as computer viruses, spyware, adware, and other malicious objects in 'real-time', in other words while data is coming into the computer (for example when inserting a CD, opening an email, or browsing the web) or when a file already on the computer is opened or executed, in other words loaded into the computer's active memory.[1] This means all data in files already on the computer is analysed each time that the user attempts to access the files. This can prevent infection by not yet activated malware that entered the computer unrecognised before the antivirus received an update. Real-time protection and its synonyms are used in contrast to the expression "on-demand scan" or similar expressions that mean a user-activated scan of part or all of a computer.

Here's that same picture I just posted (hint: look under configure. See Where it says Auto-Protect? What do you think that means?):
You're a lying cunt and a prick. I'm done here.

That is probably gon na get you a ban for a few days . so good work sir !
now to make thign clear for your little brain that seem to have a hard time understanding.
CPU and Memory are two different thing. Memory will no dictect how many software and application you are caoable to run at once ./ CPU WILL. so it dont matter if you have 800 gig or 512 mb in your freakin PC because4 that no what we are talking about here. ( so go read some more on wiki)
Now if i want to run REAL - TIME SCANNING it dont matter if my PC as less than a gig or 8 million gig. I need a Good CPU in order to have Real time scannign running as it will lag my other application. You can have a dual core with 512 mb of memory and run real time scanning jsut fine and use other application. YOU CANNOT RUN REAL TIME SCANNING WITH 1 core and 8 gig and have other application running as well. it will be sluggish and hard to work with .
anyway im not going to conduct a course on how to use a PC. you would fail it anyway .
ill see u in a week after ur ban as been removed
take care poor body

goddamn spence. i don't jump on hate wagons but you definately failed. also systematic is a bad choice for a antivirus program.

You couldn't run Symantec on there. Should have at least windows 2000. That's a stretch though.

I've used AVG for the last 3 years and Norton for probably 10 years before that. I caught a lot more viruses using Norton but I was also younger and didn't understand what was bad about internet explorer or napster/limewire. I've never had problems with AVG but to be honest I don't think I ever get viruses at all anymore. I think it's been over a year since I've had one. All you need is a decent browser, spyware protection, and the common sense not to go to sketchy places on the internet.

I use SpyBot Search & Destroy, does what I need it to.
On a side note I have a excellent defragmenter program called Ashampoo Magical Defrag.. It automatically defragments your computer all the time but it keeps itself low on the list of priorities. So if you're running a big game or something it just pauses until you're done.
The version out there now you have to pay for but there is an earlier version that's free. I love it.
edit: stop. grammer time.
