That's an excellent idea Coasty! But isn't that a good idea at any time of the year?
Also, I have that exact same bulb, the 68 watter right? Its frickin' massive dude!
Check it out side-by-side with a 42 watter.....

Just one. TOo big for my little Wooden "Light Wagon" contraption I built.....
Yeah, I'm using mylar from a E-blanket (not aluminum/tin foil, if that's what you were thinking) as a reflecting hood. I figured horizontal has more light output (i.e. more surface area), so I made my own reflector instead of a lamp.
And yeah, I got a log. Started it back in Feb. 5. Its Day 31 of flowering.....already half-way done with da budz. Oh yeahs!
Here's the Link to my Grow Journal: All CFL Semi-Auto Closet Project.
Its also in my signature, on left, middle-row.
What about you Coaster, did you ever make a grow journal?

Oh, I know how that is. I lose stuff all the time. I actually lost my glass diffuser and felt package some time ago, and just bought a new one today for 4-20.
And seeing how you forgot to post that acid sheet back at the Shroomery, I can see how you are forget and lose stuff. I just hope you didn't lose that sheet. That would be bad.
As for Mylar, its just more reflective, more like a mirror, but without the glass (glass absorbs light). Tin foil is kinda dull, even on the shinny side. And Mylar doesn't rip as easily as tin foil. Only bad part is its loud, it still rips sometimes, and its semi-transparent, so it doesn't reflect ALL the light, just most of it. And it reflects heat too, which is kinda bad for da plant.
But there's better Mylar out there, I just use a Coleman(r) E-blanket, which is pretty cheap ($4 a sheet). Like in 13ettleJuices log, he's got some real mirror-like ones from a hydro shop. Really cool looking. Like a House of Mirrors.
So by choke points, you mean like folds or wrinkles? 'Cuz Mylar gets some of that, just not as bad as tin foil. A little more forgiving, like a cool chick.
Do you use any reflective stuff for your grows Coaster?

Hey TrueHerbCrystal, Have you ever forgotten to put your signature at the end of the your post? Just wondering. I think it's cool, by the way.
-------------------- "She quickly stood up & looked down, the door on her shoe had gotten larger. Her shoelaces then quickly took hold of her hands, which caused her to sneeze. She spit on the puddle of liquid rice to her left, hoping it would release the toads from their chains. It did nothing. Desperately she bit into her arm-chair, hoping, praying the bird will hear her call. "Get the lock!" Sponny yelled. But was too late. The door had opened. She quickly grabbed her shoe & threw it, spilling & exposing the contents inside & relaseing those things."
