What are your guys' opinions on a 125w CFL that puts out 50/50 2700K/6400K for vegging?

Well I'm not sure about those specific bulbs. But when using HID lighting it's recommended to mix in 1 MH per 3-4 HPS. So if your going to go with this route I would go for separate bulbs since I have no experience, nor have I heard of the bulbs your talking about.

Hawk are you saying use a mix of different spectrum bulbs instead of one single bulb that offers a broad spectrum range?

That is what I'm saying. I'm running 3 1000 watt lights. 2 of them are HPS the 3rd is MH.

But this is your flowering setup, correct? I'm thinking here in terms of vegging, particularly starting seedlings.

Ahh, sorry. I didn't catch that part. I would just go for vegging spectrum solely.
