Lighting Fixture/Technical Questions. 1.)I was told earlier for what i want i would need 10kw of light. (10x 1000w HID Fixtures) for 15ft x 15ft space. The lumens are still mystery to me, but ive been looking at the graphs around the site. Yeah, still hard for me to get, but im getting there. *Whats the best way to hook 10 fixtures per one room? Now let me understand this...I would need 10 fixtures, 20 bulbs, 10 ballast? Now im sorry if by trying to visualize this I get this nightmarish picture of what Frankstien's Lab would look like, in my grow room!! Cords and all...Also if I'm plannin to use 10 ballasts I want to figure out somewhere else to put them, due to extra heat and will def put me over my 76f-85f mark. Any suggestions? PLEASE HELP!
Edit: Link Added! One Fixture i might consider.

First of all, The 10KW I quoted you was just to get you in the ballpark and let you know that your 2000W you were planning wasn't even close to sufficient.
you have quite a lot of research ahead of you if you're going to do this right. First of all, you're supposed to shoot for around 50W per square foot. Now, don't assume you're going to be using the entire 225 ft^2 of your space to grow in, you're going to need room to move around between the plants to take care of them (tending a grow this size will be nearly a full time job btw).
as for the ventilation, look around on here for a post I made where I was planning a grow of a similar size. I drew up some sketches and bounced around some ideas and that will get you started. in the mean time, look around at all the other grows of that size to get an idea what's required. I'll get you started with some links but you owe me

You will probably need at least two 220V breakers to run that much power but I am not 100% sure. That would be two sockets like you plug a clothes dryer into. I have seen a guy make a sort of breaker box that had 5 regular 110V AC outlets coming out of the box with a cable coming out that was a 220V cable. I guess it served as a hub for him to plug multiple ballasts into. But running 1000W HID ballasts at 110V is possible but not recommended. You won't get the full power of the ballast unless connected to a 220V outlet, and also 1000W ballasts have been known to burn out more frequently on 110V. Not speaking from experience, but hearsay from friends that had multiple 1000W setups. Either way, you are gonna have to wire some new breakers into your breaker box, so be careful or YOU WILL DIE!

yes you do. Just buy a single 1000W or maybe even 2 of them and try a smaller grow. you'll still get about a pound or two from it and it'll be way more manageable for your first round. once you have a successful grow like that under your belt you'll have not only the knowledge to do it right, but better finances as well

I am envious of you GetDat, I wish I had two things you do, the space to do something that scale and the youthful disregard to actually do it
Do what harry is saying start with a smaller cycle use that time to raise some good mothers and learn the ropes by the time your first crop is done you will be able to take any number of clones you want from your moms. Those can go under the couple HPS's you already have while you install and setup the rest of the equipment. Then as the clones grow just repot them and let them fill up the room. Before next winter you could easily have the whole grow going perpetually with harvests every couple months.
You may start a smaller grow and find out you just don't need to grow 100 at a time to make yourself comfortable. I know I could get real comfy on the income from half that, fuck a quarter of that once a year would help out a lot.
