GDP from seed? Unheard of? Think again...

Just do what I did. First of all, I'm a certified caregiver. I bought 1/8, touted as GDP, (^$), in S.Jose, from a dude, recently... I used up all of it but the seed buried inside, the 1 seed.
1 seed 1 chance 1 success 1 beautiful baby girl 1 proud pappa
No? Too good to be true?

Well first off how do know it was GDP from the start.
Secondly, it's not unheard of. If it was indeed GDP it sounds like the grower somehow stressed his plant and it may have selfed. (slight hermie, pollinated itself).
That's pretty cool though, and Welcome to the Growery. I couldn't view the pictures.

Try this one.... the source image is at this site now. It's a good one

What makes me think it may be GDP? A> It was purchased as "GDP" B> It was AMAZING! C> It was purple D> The result bears a remarkable resemblance to every seemingly credible picture I've ever seen. E> Everyone here wants it - "best they've ever seen" type reaction, and I'm a relative novice. F> I've never used anything with purple in the name... What you see is straight from that 1 seed, no enhancements of any kind.
Lastly... I REALLY REALLY REALLY want it to be true...

I also have some GDP from seed, started a thread about it a few months back. In my case the breeder crossed GDP with an unknown strain, then backcrossed offspring repeatedly to GDP over the course of many years. Some might not consider that true GDP, but I do. Did you have any hermie issues during the grow?

I wouldn't consider that to be GDP. These strains that people speak of like GDP and green crack and all those other ones that are infamous are the products of certain plants. By that i mean, you don't get GDP from crossing any old Big bud with any old purple urkle. Who knows what the exact lineage was for those plants that ultimately led to the GDP we know today. I had some beans i got from a dude in CA that said they were GDP. I'm pretty sure it wasn't GDP though. Yours looks like gdp from that tiny picture. got a better shot of it? Welcome to the growery MaxG!!

The last one failed at 9.7mb...
The first good one is the 10 mb, "more gdp.zip", a few posts ago; it looks like it posted OK. I backed off... Sorry I got carried away. I thought I was thumpin' my chest over pics that everyone else was seeing in low res or thumbnails. Sounds like you're OK with it, so I'll try the one that failed again. Don't worry, I learn quick.

ok i see those three picutres. You should upload them so people can see them. Go up to the top of the page and click on 'pics' > 'upload' > 'browse' then select your the file on your device. then when its uploaded you can copy and paste the link right below the picture that displays. please do that if you want people to view them. People are really lazy and wont bother unless you make it easy for them, and me.

I saw that, when I uploaded that way, the 512k limit was whacking them; or at least I thought it was. Is there a better way for me to get them up? It took a minute for me to find the "actual size" button that appears when you mouse-over in the lower right area, in the one that you posted for me, but that was sweet! I'd much rather get them up that way. Can I get them past that 512k barrier as intact .JPGs somehow? You could even burn this thread, if you'd like, and I'll start over as someone a bit more hip to the process.
1 More?

I'm getting word from both CA and CO patients, who have ties to my patient, that it is very similar, in both taste and smell, to the GDP they find in their respective dispensaries. Appearance is close, but they noted that different environments and methods play a much larger role in the visual experience, rather than in the the aroma or flavor. In short, they are apparently impressed. I remain optimistic... Any more thoughts? I can't wait for cyber-smell... The pictures are great, but OH MY... I will soon be interviewing potential patients, as I currently support only one, and I'd really like to be confident that this is the real deal first, unless of course, I just wanna make up my own name. I can think of a few. I put up the biggest, most detailed, pics I've ever seen. Surely there's someone else out there who knows what they have, and perhaps even has access to some means of looking at it really close... Could you compare against my pics? The microscope I have was like $80 USD, shipped, if I remember correctly. I'll be REALLY surprised if a bunch of you guys don't have one already. Or even a decent magnifying glass could verify or refute. I'll up a pic or two more, for better perspective...

nope i just dont buy it, The diesel thats been going around for the last couple years and the jack herror are both real but the rest of the stuff is always fake. like the blue cheese, cheese, blueberry kush, and trainwreck. Which brings me to a question. The blueberry kush and trainwreck that went around were both this very odd neon/lime green color. Couldnt be natural. Anyone have any ideas what would cause cured bud to be such an odd green color? what ever it was it was fucking strong, I was getting open eyed pattern/visuals while listening to music after take a bong rip. It was definitely weed though.
