How long do clones last?
    #349517 - 01/18/10 05:25 PM (14 years, 10 months ago)

It's a very vague question. but I have an aeroponic cloner.

I have 1.5" rockwool cubes in a 2" net pot. Once the roots grow and start to get long... I will transplant the whole netpot into a grodan cube. (fits i tried)

My question is how long can I keep them this way? once I see roots i am going to switch my 12/12 and this will take like 50-60 days!
--------------------------------------------------------------

Can i bonsai my clones in the aeroponic cloner? what is the age limit to start the bonsai process?

(sorry if this has been asked)

Once you see roots you should transplant because otherwise those roots will just get squished/wasted if transplanted. You want to transplant right when the roots show.

I've been lazy and left the clones in the cloner till the roots were a foot and a half long. Just put food in the water once you see roots and you can keep them in there for quiet a while :omgawesome:

That's nice to know.

Can I also bonsai a cube till i'm ready for it?
like the 6" square cubes?

(I would also like to mention that my aeroponic cloner is a bubblestone type, not a sprayer)

If you can do it with cups you can do it with a 6 inch rockwool cube.

I like it. Thanks
(wasn't sure how much stress is caused by cutting the roots)
