planting with buckets?

I Have seen this done a lot(Like in the video above)where people grow there plants in buckets filled with soil, rocks, etc
What is the advantage to this(if any)over a normal non-clay pot?
If there IS an advantage could someone explain how to setup, and use this method?
Thanks

lol wow that video sucked. the advantage is that buckets are cheaper than clay pots by a LOT, and the best method to use them is this;
-fill with dirt -put cannabis plant in dirt -water when needed

That's fairly obvious. I was referring to one of your pictures actually, where the plant is in a square, block of soil on top of the rocks in the bucket.
This one: Harry_Ba11sach's plant

oh ok. well in that case the plant was given to me as a rooted clone in that square block of rockwool. since I grow with hempy buckets all I needed to do was put the rockwool in my perlite mixture and it was ready to go.
I feel like I'm missing what you're asking though

yeah sorry I'm not explaining this well. Let me try again.
Lets say my seed is germinated and ready to be planted. How would i go about planting in rockwool?
Do I simpley pick a size of rockwool, plant the seed in there, and not have to worry about re-potting
If this is the case how big should the rockwool be?
