Choosing a light...

Looking for possible lights.
Description: •Large walk-in closet don't know the dimensions, but prolly 3x normal bedroom closet •2-3 plants
Found this one (link), thinking about the 250, but it isn't much more for the 400.
Would these work and do I need a different bulb.

Thanks for the input fellas!

if it's a large closet I would go with a 400 or a 600. you get out what you put in

id recommend a 400. a friend of mine grows in his closet, regular sized closet, with a 400 watt HPS. says it works perfectly.

Would the light from the link work? It doesn't look like most grow lights that I see. Do I also need a different grow bulb, or is the one they provide sufficient?

ya know that light would work, but for the price you'd still be better off just going with a regular grow light. then you can get an aircooled reflector and digital ballast and still save money.
also, I'm still pushing for 600W

exactly my thoughts. that's a big closet with only 3 or 4 plants you will probably want to section off a spot for them to keep all the light in.
http://www.hydroasis.com/hy/productdetail.aspx?id=1691&product=600w-hps-lumatek-with-magnilume-reflector/gbase/?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=Lumatek%20600w%20HPS%20Lumatek%20with%20MagniLume%20reflector&utm_campaign=gbase_title-variations
if you plan to buy online you can find lots of good deals with google shopping that was the first result for '600w HPS' looks like easily a better buy then the other from lowes.

I agree with Coda, especially since you get a 10% discount being a Growerite! RVF

if you want to go cheap their 400w magnetic ballast w 1 bulb and hood on inside sun is 99$.. and thats not the only thing to purchase.(they also have a $40 add on MH conversion bulb for that ballast) which would be $140 for both bulbs, and a 400w ballast. tho the digi will put out less heat, and draw lses power, and make your bulbs last longer.
i don't see anything but a 400w digi ballast with 2 bulb option and hood for 250$ on the other site. that was why i mentioned that site
but yes, for the price that 250 bundle is an extremely smart buy @ 225$ IF you have that kind of money to spend!
i mean if you only wanted hps light, you could go with of hte 99$ from that site save @25, and have 2x the amount of light output.
but for veg and flowering under the same bulb in the same area, bettter off with that deal from rvf

im sorry, but i still think its an absolutely horrible idea to order grow equipment from a sponsor of a forum dedicated to growing a controlled substance, especially using the special code word thing to get 10% off...

So then don't buy from them. The discount code is DEAL, hardly a tip off. There's no link to your purchase from RVF to this site. Keep feeling safe about going in and out of that hydro store, not like cops don't sit and watch them and record license plate numbers. Not like cops haven't set up hydro shops to bust people in the past either.
Nothing is truly safe my man, you're just as likely to be watched buying stuff from a grow shop as you are from some website on the internet.
