my whole house smells like weed. anyone have a good cheap source for a carbon scrubber/fan combo that would adequately vent 2 600W bulbs in a 4x4 room?

I like this one, but I'm afraid after I attach the filter the CFM will be far below 170....

I just went to my hydro shop today and noticed something I haven't personally seen before. It's a deodorizing gel. You place them in a dispenser (like the kind you see in bathrooms that puff out air freshener) and sit it in your room.
Can't speak for how well it works, or even if it's a viable solution for you. Would you prefer buying a premade filter, or do you want some info on how to build your own as well?

hmmm, I guess building my own would be the best since I only need to to filter for 3 weeks. this way I could make it with a lower volume-surface area ratio of carbon so it functions at high capacity for a short period of time, but can possibly be designed to not diminish my fan speed too much.
So, yes please!

and how much will that lower the CFM of my fan? would using 6" and 4" duct rather than 8&6 allow for more airflow or would the decrease in surface area actually mean a decrease in airspeed?
believe it or not, this is the first time I've actually had a grow large enough to need a carbon filter
but at the same time

Well a smaller filter should help in that area, just be sure to build one big enough to suit your grow room.

I think the more surface area the easier it is on your fan... You could probably get some kind of idea how much it'll bog it down by considering the static pressure rating of the fans you're looking at.
That tek is badass though and super scalable... I'm really interested in seeing you put one of these together.
