however scared they make you, if you're just busted for possession, don't accept a plea agreement! if you have any confidence in your convictions, stand up for them! I've been arrested twice for weed, twice I turned down plea agreements, and twice the charges were dropped before I went to trial. I was almost disappointed! I thought I could argue my way out of this unfairness, and I still think I can should it ever come to that. But I don't think the DAs here (Arizona, a tough state for drug offenders) would bring me to trial. I think they see they would lose. So you have to stand up strong against their accusation that you should feel "guilty" for your use of this sacred herb.
