    #320865 - 11/24/09 02:08 AM (15 years, 6 days ago)

ok so i took cuttings about 9 days ago...they are in plastic cups with coco and perlite and they look like they are all making it. Now some of the tips are turning yellow...is this a sign to start givin them nutes? or is this a ph issue?

It's pretty normal to get some yellowing of the leaves, nitrogen deficiency, while they are rooting.  They do this because the plant is using up stored nutrients and energy to form the roots.

Now is this what your seeing??  Hard to say, got some pics??

Agreed, if it's just the tips of the leaves yellowing, and the rest remains green, they're most likely forming roots.  If the growth tips start looking yellow all over then your stems might be rotting.  Either way, you'll find out soon.  Don't mess with the cuttings, just let em do their thing.

Unless the mother was in bad condition when you took the clones, they should do fine for at least two weeks surviving on just stored nutes.  I would wait a few more days to let the roots get a bit more established and then use a diluted mix.  1/4 strength is what I use for the first feeding, some people prefer 1/8 strength, depends on the strength of the nutes really.
