t5 setup for moms and cloning

I'm looking at a t5 setup. It has (4) 4ft t5s.
I was wondering if it is reasonable to start from seed.... sex'em and then get'em large enough to clone. This is for an outdoor grow...I am trying to skip running a MH bulb to save cash.
Just wondering if there is anyone who has used a similiar set up.

Sure, lots of people use T-5's to veg. If you're using the HO T-5's plan for a little extra ventilation as they can get hot.

Thanks coda.
The lights would be going in a ventilated plywood room that is 4 feet wide and 8 feel long.
Gonna try and squeeze 3 small moms under that light.
I was thinking of getting the cool bulbs since I will be starting from seedlings.
Does anyone think it would be beneficial to do warm and cool bulbs together? I read it on some site that sells t5's. Just throwin it out there.
