has anyone ever used this type of system? what are your thoughts on this <param name="movie" value="name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">
Yeah tons of people use it. It seems to be very easy to build and maintain. The plants have a lot of root room to grow as well.
There's some guy who I think posted in the grow journal section who grew a plant out a pickle jar using the deep water culture method if you want to go look at some pictures.
It definitely works.

Yes Deep Water Culture (DWC). It is very popular and is argueably the easiest and simpliest way of growing using Hydroponics. There is a lot of information on the subject here on the Growery.

It's not practical to ask questions like this because there are many variables which go into what kind of yield you can expect with a given method (how many plants? what kind of fertlizer? Time on veg and flower? etc.......) It is a fact though, that growing hydroponically does not increase your yield per-say, but drastically speeds up the growth rate, allowing you to go grow (or yield) more in a shorter time.
