 Moldy Buds....

Hey there folks! So, I have been smoking for over a decade, but I am fairly new to growing my own crop. I had some of the smaller buds from trimmings and such in a ziplock.... and my dumbass should have let them air a bit but I forgot about them because I was going to cook with them later. So now they have some white mold on them, not a ton but enough to notice. I have looked at every website and all over THIS site and can't seem to get a STRAIGHT answer! Are the buds salvageable?? Can I cook with them? Luckily the mold is ONLY in these 2 bags and not on my actual plants. If there is a way to safely smoke and/or cook with the moldy buds, anyone have a step-by-step solution for what to do?? Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS!

You could make hash. I do butane extractions, I think the mold spores may get into a cold water extraction.

You probably dont want to smoke them budz because of the mold on them, I have never had moldy buds so I dont really know what to tell you. I'm sure someone has the answer to this. But anyways nice green hair and nice green text. Relrum rue ra rowery.

Chances are youve gotten moldy buds and didnt know about it, and smoked em, Ive gotten them and smoked them, and i beleive its powder mold on your dope,,
If its not alot I would smoke em, no grower would chuck 3 months of work cuz of a lil mold, at least any I know

Cooking with them is fine in most cases.
Be sure to dry your buds until the stem snaps and then seal them in a glass jar or something similar so you can get them fresh air while they cure...This will prevent mold and will also make the smoke better.

I've placed bud into jars before and not aired it out properly (it was from another person so I wasnt trying to cure it, just prevent it from drying up) and I remember they got a bit of white mold on them. I just picked off the moldy parts (not a lot) and smoked them. The same thing happened to a friend of mine and he just picked off the moldy parts and smoked it. We both seem to be fine now

Smoking mold is not a good idea, sure some of us have done it (myself included), but you really shouldn't.
If you don't want to take the risk of smoking them, just turn them into some hash oil. Solvent extractions will leave you with something you can smoke.

Not gonna lie I bought a couple zones of weed that was not totally dry. Left it in a jar and got mold on em. Smoked it with no problem after they dried. The only bad part was that i could not sell it with a clear conscience.

I have read somewhere that you can freeze the nugz and it will kill off the mold. I can't quote it...but I know I read it somewhere. Try it..freeze them and then dry'em out.....IMO it couldn't do anymore damage at this point.
