well hello everyone...some of you may know me from the shroomery, my question for you is i would like to grow a plant that would ideally get no larger than 12-18" and make for a great very stoney high...thank you in advance

Sounds like a low ryder cross would be the perfect choice for you. Something like masterlow or the like, definitely go with a cross as people make claims they are more potent then the original LR.

Other wise choose a straight indica strain you think looks pretty to you and stick the plant into flowering when it's about 5-6 inches tall. Shouldn't get too much bigger then 1.5 ft

you can take any indica and also start them 12/12 photoperiod from seed.

...and get a quarter of buds...

let the plant branch a little. tie it down or scrog it. you can do either of these indoor or outdoor...

oh yeah, and Welcome to the growery!

Its to be expected with serious space limitations like that, I think.

yeah im just sayin. advice like a low strain, or scrog or lst is going to optimize his yield and space consumation. while flowering from seedling is more for ppl who have nothin better to do and want to experiment and get cute little plants.

he wants 12"-18" plants. thats big enough to get some serious weight off them if the proper technique is performed

for a first timer, i just thought "flower from seedling" isnt great advice.

no offense to you araucaria, i just want to see him/her maxamize their yeilds and not be turned off by a tiny lil pecker bud and maybe get some donkey dicks

I agree with you, I was just saying that with space restrictions like that, one shouldn't be expecting crazy yields either way.

what would some expected yields of a plant say 1.5-2 ft high?

granted i know this varies plant to plant, strain to strain, grower to grower. the idea just popped into my head of doing some indoor cultivation. with very small plants, like described (maybe a bit bigger). but i want to know if its at all worth it, and if you introduce it to a 12/12 at around 5 inches (or less) then what can you expect for flowering time? same as regular?

I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

im going to guess that was sarcastic, as a 1/2 pound off of a plant 2 ft tall seems unrealistic?

2 ft tall is pretty large on its own, and if you lst that thing, you could pull a 1/2 p off of it.

indoor or outdoor?

ok, well in that case you might have to get some HUGE lights...

lst : low stress training...somethin like that. basically you take the plant. bend it over and coil it aournd your pot (square or round) until it makes it back to the middle. and each branch shoots up as a cola.

or you can top your plant and let it get 1 1/2', switch to flower and then scrog it and by that time it will already have soo many shoots that there will be 50hundred million colas coming thru the screen

Like you said, it would depend upon strains and how they are grown, but most indicas aren't going to get much taller than that. The pure indica strain my friend will be growing, Pakistan Valley, will flower for six to seven weeks, with a recommendation from the vendor that they aren't in vegetative state for more than three weeks. It doesn't list a height, but from the few grows I've found documentation for, they look like a typical indica, which, as far as I've gathered at least (not trying to sound like an expert, my friend hasn't even grown indoors yet, just putting forth what I've gathered as I've come to understand it ), usually don't exceed three feet.

I think it would be worth it if you have serious limitations on height and its the difference between growing and not growing. Otherwise I wouldn't see a reason to induce flowering when the plant is prematurely young, unless you're growing a sativa dominant strain and you don't want six feet or more indoors.

Of course, that's my opinion regarding growing from seed, because the point of a sea of green technique would be to induce flowering earlier and grow a lot of smaller plants, since it will take half as long to grow as much plant material if it is two plants instead of one. My friend wouldn't implement a sea of green, if he decides to, until he is working with clones, in which case they would be put into flowering as soon as they are rooted. I think it would be a good idea to let the plants reach maturity and complete a natural cycle in order to determine which is of the best quality before starting a sea of green. This makes sense too I think because running a sea of green from seed would mean more seeds, so unless you are already breeding, you're paying for more of some likely expensive seeds.

I don't know what the expected yields would be really, but I'd assume an ounce or two of a regular indica that tall.

Not sure what the yield would be if you were working with a hybrid and LST'ing the hell out of it to have it grow horizontally, but if there was a physical limit on the height that low, I would think that could get pretty messy to deal with.
