when should i flower? time restraint issues!

currently my plants are just starting their 4th week of veg (3 weeks 1 day). I am on a time constraint and I need to have my buds harvested by December 15-17. I am using bagseed, so im not sure what the flowering time of my plants will be.
I have 14 weeks to work with total. I was thinking veg for 6 weeks and leaving 8 weeks to flower and fully mature??
Is 6 weeks veg to small to flower?
Could i push 7 weeks veg, and 7 weeks flower?
How can i increase yields with such short veg time?
Anyone wanna guess expected yields?? not sure whats female and whats not yet....
...but im running a 400w hps, in an air cooled Hyrdofarm reflector hood, a 273 cfm blower in a 2'wide x 2'deep x 4'tall. Day temps steady around 82, night temps around 72. Foxfarm Ocean Forest Soil with blood meal during veg and FoxFarm Tiger Bloom during flowering.

damnit! im really trying to squeeze the most out of this - hell i dunno even know if any of them are ladies yet....
4/10? do you think i could do 5/9 or would that still be pushing it? the last thing I want to do is be forced to pick buds that are not at their most potent.
and i was pretty sure that sativas had longer flowering times not indicas....

Yah, the sativa's have the longer flowering periods, not the indica's.
I second 4 weeks veg 10 weeks flower. You want the extra time in flower to give your plants a better chance at maturing fully. To maximize your growth look into training methods such as lst or scrog to get the most out of your plants once they've been sexed. Basically you want to bend your plant in a certain way so that all the budsites get maximum, and even, exposure to your light source.

Thanks everyone. But i am worried about flowering my plants before they start alternating nodes.
WHEN WILL THEY START ALTERNATING NODES? (how many weeks?)
after some research, I feel that that is the ultimate question that will determine the success of my grow. I am really hoping that my plants grow alot this 4th week and start showing alternating nodes (meaning sexual maturity), then i will flower these sexy bitches.

around the 4th week is when you would expect it, so I think you should be okay. they look VERY indica to me just judging by the leaves, so realistically you'll probably only need about 8 weeks for the flowering period so I think you'll be okay.
Also, I've flowered plants before the alternating nodes before, and it works out fine, you'll just have to keep an eye on them for gender

alternating phyllotaxy is just a sign of sexual maturity. You can definitely flower before you see them. When you start to see your nodes alternate is when you want to start looking for the male or female preflowers.
So yah, like harry said, if you flower before you see preflowers, you just need to watch them every day and separate the males as soon as you spot them.

ah, ok cool. Thats good news thanks guys. I think im just going to see how this 4th week plays out then flower them.
Won't they grow and create more budsites during flowering anyway? I started doin some LST on two of them, topped one, and left one alone.

yes, but only to a certain point. you want as many bud sites as you can get during veg to maximize flowering
