What's up with it? I have my A+ certification, but, honestly, I don't think I'm that good with computers, so I might not even be of any assistance to you.

What settings would that be? What browser you using? Like trouble shooting grows, software issues need more info then your putting up. I read somewhere u asking how to use foxyproxy the day after i helped u with tor. So in order to help we need specifics. Proxy used?, browser being used?, did u uninstall other proxies before installing new ones?, are you on a network?, behind a router?

weeeell sometimes you just have to deal with the slow loading time as a sacrifice for your anonymity and safety. plus you only have to use it visit a few certain places right? tor speeds can vary a lot day to day or tor node to tor node. any time you're bouncing your signal around all over the globe it's going to take considerably longer than normal though.
i just suck it up personally and it's usually not too bad. kinda reminds me of the old days of 56k

I'd suggest Firefox, FireGPG, Vidalia, and TorButton together.
Those should cover just about everything you need to do and they're super easy to use. Depends on what site and server you're visiting but the speed is generally pretty acceptable and the anonymity is complete.
