I have never purchased seeds from the seed-banks online and was hoping some experienced buyers could help out. As if the subject line cant explain it any simpler, I'm curious with what types of male/female ratios do most cultivators get when un-feminized seeds are purchased. Suppliers claim "excellent" female ratios. I would just like to hear first hand from fellow green-thumbs.
Well the reason they claim that crap and it's just that crap is that in nature it takes one male plant to fertilize many females so the plant naturally increases the amount of female plants to produce more seed and keep the population going. Out in nature it takes a lot of seeds to make just one successful plant that is why they produce so many seeds when fully polonized.
Now when buying a pack of seeds your pretty much winging it. There may be some males, none, all males has been heard of (gotta happen sometime). Depending on how picky you are you can usually find a good female worth keeping as a mother in a pack of seeds.

Thanks 4 the input bro. Thants what im looking 4. A female or 2 that I can use as a mothering plant and take clones from it. Just trying to do the math and see if its worth spending the multiplication factor purchasing fem'ed beans or if (big if) it isnt a bad purchase getting regular seeds, "knowing" theres a few broads in my batch... guess it is better buy gettin all the fem's, knowing theyr all 100% female and therefore only starting 1 and sitting on the other beans. Thanks for your input, and of anyone else has any other info, feel free to drop it. Im always open to suggestions and always willing to learn...
If you purchase feminised they usually come in packs of 5. So I say crack them all and pick 1 or 2 of your best females, since there most likely will be some variation in plants
