Okay so ive seen and tried plenty of designs and settled with this. Its incredibly easy to setup, manage, clean, and can be taken down in less than 10 minutes if needed. Heres what you need: -black/white ploy plastic (get plenty) -flood tray -30 gallon storage bucket with lid(black or gray to avoid light) -cinder block (choose how many you want for your tray height) -1000w HPS light(yes 1000w, just do it cover that tray with light) -ceiling hooks(Swivel Ceiling Drill Hook, holds up to 40lbs) -rotating fan -stapler -velcro(3/4 in, sticky on both sides) -duct tape -a wood stud(length depends on how big you want your grow room)
Ok those are the basics to get you started and you can fill out your room out accordingly to your needs.(filters, pumps, nutrients, etc.)Clear out a section of a room starting with the corner to however big you want your room. Measure out from the corner(I like a little more than 5 feet so i can walk along the side of the tray.)Then from that spot lay your stud on the ground so it makes a T with the wall. Now you should have the layout for an open ended box coming from your wall. Cut a path of black/white plastic to cover the floor length from the wall to the end of your stud. Begin stapling both sides of the walls with the black/white plastic(black side against the wall). After youve finished cut a length of plastic 4 inches longer than the length of the stud. Your going the build a third wall to the room using the plastic stapled to the ceiling coming down to the stud(the white side facing the inside of you new room). DONT STAPLE TO THE STUD LEAVE IT LOOSE FOR NOW. When you staple the edges leave an extra inch of plastic because when your finished laying the plastic wall your going to duct tape that little extra down so your room is completely light proof. Now you have a 3 sided room repeat the last process and make the fourth side. DONT STAPLE THE TWO PLASTICS TO MAKE A CORNER. Leave it loose right there, but do staple where they meet on the ceiling. Attach the velcro to the edge of both plastics where they meet running down to the ground. Also attach velcro to the stud parallel to the edge of the plastic. If you have done this right you now have a light proof grow room inside your room. Place your rotating fan in back corner. Place your cinder blocks accordingly to your tray height. Hang your light over your tray. Now fill it out to your needs and your good to grow.
Sorry i dont have a clear pick of the room but i think you can see the idea. from the photo im standing holding the flaps apart.
