i've been needing one for a while.
my main use will be macro's and just general photos here and there.
i don't need anything extravagant for now, just something that will do the trick and not crap out on me in a few months.
any suggestions?

The last one in this link (the Canon PowerShot) is a great camera for the price, and when I had mine, the macro setting was fantastic. It also has many accessories you can buy one at a time to increase its function.

i'm really not sure.
i don't want to spend a lot but i would drop up to 200 if it was something i "had to have"
more than likely around 100-200?

I had bad experience with my first fuji and I won't own another one...That said, many people like them, they are fairly inexpensive//It will do you good for the price I would imagine. But how is the macro shot?

that's what sold me.
i was up at some store with my friend and the guy said for the money that had the best macro and a lot of room for upgrade if i wanted to get accessories(which i don't but it's nice to have the option)
i'm gonna find it cheaper somewhere online but all the reviews people are listing the macro as a key feature

Nice. I need a good macro camera I'm going to look in to this one. I have a good camera but the macro isn't very good...Then again I'm usually high when I try to use it to take pictures of what I'm smoking.

Yeah, that's a better explanation than we could provide. I've got a dslr camera. I did have a wicked macro lens but sold it recently. I bought a big book about how to operate the thing but I never have really read it. Which I should just sit down and read the damn thing and playing with it so I could take some good pictures. It takes great pictures without much know-how though. But I think it's one of those things that if you just fine tune your understanding of the device it will do amazing things for ya.

Speaking of amazing things, check out this guys blog. Fucking amazing pics. I asked him what he uses and he said he has a whole canon setup with all kinds of components and lenses, and that he only shoots in daylight with no flash.

Jesus! Great pictures but that guy gets ripped off. If you like macro cannabis photography here is a great thread that has a ton of pictures and some good explanations of how to do it. Some of those guys are the guys that have shit published in cannabis culture, high times, skunk'd, and other mags. Cream of the crop pics imo.
