im no pro in hydro but ive grown some nice plants using liquid nutes. You dont want to use to nutes meant for regular soil as they wont contain the proper regiments you need for a hydro setup. theres are powders you can use if you dont want to use liquid nutrients its really your own preference, some people swear by podwer others by liquid. I use the General Hydroponics Flora series. hope this helps.

I use the general hydroponics floranova series, and it's wonderful. pretty much about 5ml micro and 10ml bloom in veg, then double that for flower, and that's it. only a 2 part recipe and you can get some killer nugs. Plus they're pretty cheap.

Yup, I agree with Harry, Floranova is just the ticket for new growers. If later you want to branch out a bit more, try some Advanced Nutrients stuff. Good luck.

Do you prefer advanced nutrients over GH?

I used Floranova for about 2 years and switched to AN when a friend gifted me the entire line for free... I have had much healthier plants since; but with that said, I don't think the AN line is worth the price, because of all the add-on's. If you have the cash and the time, play with the AN stuff and see for yourself which additions help and which are gimmicks, if not stick with the GH stuff and get good results without 50 bottles.

I would also recommend the GH FLoraNova series. It's super easy to use and will give you some great looking plants. All i have used on these plants below is FloraNova Grow. I should add that I have never used anything else for hydro and this is my second grow.
Frankly, I don't know if those plants could be much healthier than they are.

Flora Nova is great I use it myself but for a new grower I'm gonna say Pure Blend Pro. Use that till the hydro thing becomes easy to ya then go to Flora Nova. Yeah Nova is easy to use but with the pure blend pro it is damn near impossible to kill the plants or burn them if ya fuck up and it gives damn good results.

Does anyone have experience with both GH Flora series and GH Floranova series? Ide like to know which is preferred and why. Im currently using the flora series but have seen many people talk about the nova and was curious which had better results

Nova is easier to use cause it's a one part. I used the three part for years and get just as good a results with the Nova. The three part is better for fine tailoring to the needs of the plant though.
