I'm considering adding a UVB bulb to my room... thoughts?
I think Repti-glo is the cheapest UVB bulb I've found, should I get the 10% or the 5%? also, how long should I leave it on? the full 12 hours of "day"?

as far as I can tell that's just a standard LED grow light...
What's so spiffy about it? I've never seen you mention that before...

UVB lights are a great addition to your growspace. Resin production will be greatly affected. When adding a UV light to your existing plants, it is important to remember that your plants have had no exposure yet, so you need to harden them off, like if you were moving them from indoor to outdoor.
When you first install them, only run them for a few hours, and gradually increase the amount of time they spend with the UV light turned on.
Plants, like us, can get sunburn, which is the result of receiving too much UV. So be careful, and your plants will flourish.

From what I remember in microbiology class is UV kills microbes pretty well. So I also think this would help your soil from molding over. Never tried it so don't know from experience but in theory I think it should.
[Edit] - That is if the wavelength is shorther than 280nm.
