I have 4 outdoor plants, about 4 months old, and last week I discovered that 2 of them are boys. I've heard that there is a way of inducing boys to turn into girls.
Is it possible in principle? Has anyone done it? Please point me in the right direction. thank you!
PS
in the mean time, what do I do? The plants are growing on a balcony and there is not enough space to keep them safely separate. The girls have not started blooming yet, and the boys' flowers are still young (and I keep plucking them off).

haha - I'm beginning to think that the biblical story about killing the boys was in fact about cultivating.
I can't kill them, they are my firstborns. Besides, one is special, maybe a super-potent mutant: Strain or disease? I'm not giving up on him yet.
Seriously, years ago I read that some type of stress can change boys into girls. Don't remember the details. Where can I read it?

I think you have that backwards sorta.
Stress can induce a girl to become a hermaphrodite. I have never heard of turning a male to a female. If that was the case then no one would have to buy feminised seeds and male plants wouldn't be such a problem.
Anyways, you have to pull them males or move them a long ways away from the rest of your garden unless you want what females you may get to have a shit load of seeds.

you can stress a female into male, but i don't think it works vice-versa. Follow everyones advice and kill em! There are pretty knowledgeable people on the board.

I am still curious about one male - I suspect he may be a super potent mutant, but I'm not sure and there is no reply here
It smells so much stronger than others. I think I will keep some of its pollen. Too bad it's not a girl...

So go on a seed run with the male if you think its good. Make some seeds man!
