 Male or Female? UPDATE 4/15/09 - MALE :(

This is my first CFL grow/indoor grow. This plant has been growing for a few weeks now. It is really bushy and branchy. I just switched the light cycle to 12/12 to induce flowering about a week ago and I am looking for female preflowers. I few of my friends also told me that male plants usually grow very symetrical and I dont think this plant is very symetrical at all. I am going to post my whole log from seedling.
possible preflowers, what do you guys think this ones sex is?
Tell me what you guys think.

I'm pretty sure you have a female there. However, I have almost no experience in this regard, better wait for someone more experienced to judge.

Well it's not balls so it's not a male yet, but I don't see any hairs so it's not a female yet either. In my experience that looks like it will be a female since balls show up pretty quickly, but I'd give it another 5 days or so to start showing some hairs

so harry bal sach in your exp. the nes that get the lil dots first are usualy male?

best is clusters of lil balls come out on a tendril on males faster than hairs seen to the eye do on females. watch it out your not even close to full genderizaion too early.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've got another few questions also. I want to add guano to my grow because I have heard that it is a very good nutrient for bud taste. I'm not sure if you can see in the picture but there is just about a few centimeters before branches start on the stem of my plant and I was wondering how I can add the guano without disrupting the root system. One other question about CFLs. I read that CFLs do not produce as fat and thick buds and I was wondering what you guys thought, im using 4 bulbs, 2 24w bulbs, and two 14w bulbs, I'd really like to get some nice fat buds off of this plant. the seeds are from bud that was called 'snowcap' so it has good genetics.

It is too early to tell quite honestly!
But i would tend to say male by the looks of the balls coming out.
More time is needed.

So today I found out that she was a he. Sad because that was the nicest plant I have ever had. Time to start over, but this time I have some better genetics, some white rhino seeds from a good friend. So you guys will see a grow log from me on that plant for sure, this time I'm going to research a little more on the soil and nutrients I use, because through the whole vegetative stage of this plant I used liquid miracle grow and I want to use more natural nutrients in this plant, forget miracle grow. I really like these CFLs, and with a fan in the room there is little heat. Thanks for the help everyone.

male preflowers show quicker I've heard. They look like little clusters of balls.The pictures i saw were too early.
