    #245957 - 07/04/09 03:46 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

so we've camped at darling reunion in the past and we had a really great time. trouble is this year it's sold out.. does any one have any suggestions about a chill camp ground similar to that... or just a good recommendation?

That's actually where we're staying this year. I hear Zumwalt campground on the lake is pretty nice, but it's a pretty good walk up the road the faire.

The fair itself this year was pretty alright, at best. There was just so many freaking people it was hard to really do anything there. But holy shit, Darling's was nuuuuuuuuts. Don't think I've ever had so much fun as we did at Darlings this year.

Be sure to order early if you're planning for next year, it fills up really fast.

Indeed, we will be ordering early next time.

We camped at shadyrest, and ended up paying admission for darling during the day.
Inside the fair was pretty busy and didn't seem like it had a easy flow to follow either, we went in on saturday, sunday was just too muddy. I wasn't so prepared for the mud.
Darling was fun, had a lot of awesome vendors and eye candy. Shadyrest was great for the all around calm and chill vibe.
