Here's some advice that I mistakenly thought was common sense - If you are selling concert tickets or are asking someone to go to an event that requires tickets you should have them in hand before extending such offer or posting a fucking ebay listing for them!
I bought 2 floor seats for a show in pheonix for $280. I just got this messsage from the seller. I won the auction about a month ago.
"Hi. Sorry for the delay in getting you your tickets; they appear to have been lost in the mail. I just called Ticketmaster and voided the tickets, so that whoever has them can't get into the show. They said they can't send me a pair of replacement tickets for whatever reason, but they'll have a pair at the box office. I gave them your name, FurrowedBrow (correct?), so that you can pick them up when you go.
Then he gave me the order number, last four digits of the credit card it was bought with, and the name of the card holder which is a fairly sketchy name. Anyway, I was holding onto 2 other tickets for this show that are in sec 105 but I was waiting to receive these GA seats before getting rid of the other two.
