Hello Growery,
Any tips on raising the humidity level without spending much cash (if any)?
Any advice is appreciated.

Get a nice big cereal type bowl and just fill it with water, set it on the bottom of your grow area... Should raise it a decent bit... and if that's not enough, take some dish rags and hang them half in the bowl and half out so they are sort of acting like a wick and exposing more moisture to the air via more surface area for the water to be evap'd into the room. Give it a shot! Do you have a humidity guage?

You gotta remember that the sweet spot for mary jane is 50-60% humidity... That's really not high at all, more average than anything.

or just get a 30 pack of plastic red cups and keep filling and adding cups until you get the right humididty

Or take that same big bowl, and fill it with $5 worth of Perlite. First run and soak perlite in water, i have foud a strainer works best, then just palce in a bowl and mist occasionally as it dries out. this works very well if you dont have a big grow room.

Thank you for your posts. Yes, I have a humidity guage. Right now I am sitting at about 40-48%...since I don't have perlite on hand I'll try the cereal bowl method and let you know what happens.

Since you are so close to the sweet spot I am sure the bowl method would be just fine.
Keep in mind fellas that he said for "no money", that's why I recommended the bowl of water, or cups...

He said "without spending much cash" which is why I suggested perlie, since a big bag is about $5, instead of a cool mist, Ultrasonic, Ionizing Humidifier which would run about $60, which still isnt that much money.

You also need to realize that above 50% humidity can affect carbon scrubbers. At least thats what the info with my Can Filter said.

This is a good idea, to add to it, i would keep the perilite cups in the shade, out of the light, to keep anything from growing on top of the perilite.
