Are there any out there yet and if so, who has them. Just got to try it and it was sweet. but expensive as hell. $60 an 8th.

Purple strains and kush strains are both indicas, they are essentially the same strain because I have grown kush before that turns purple.

I thought purple kush was a clone only strain in cali which for a short time was called obama kush?

I don't know about the cali scene but I grew some OG Kush last year from a clone my boy sent me from cali and once it got cold out it was a dark purp hue and kush.

the kush turned purple because of temps like you said
not because its close in genetic make up to the "purple" strains

But It could not of just fell out of the sky. There had to be a seed somewhere to start the plant. I bought some and it had seeds but they were not mature. small and white. Therefore I believe it was either a herm or a male was around.

Hm. I was under the impression that Herbal Discount Collective in LA was the only exclusive vendor and supplier of Purple Kush; clones, not meds.

It would be pretty hard to be the exclusive supplier of something if anyone you supply to could essentially become a supplier themselves.

I didn't mean to say that they were 'exclusive' in the sense that they were the sole providers of Purple Kush, but that they had some underlying influence in its becoming.
Who knows? I could be completely full of shit and oblivious to actuality. Honestly, I can't confidently vouch for my sources on the matter so I won't discuss it any further.

oakland cali -where purple trees are gaurenteed
but id take some chem dawg anyday.plus why not get some grape kush from dj short ? then a gain ppl often call the 2 the same.

yeah I don't think they're related, dj's genetics are all blueberry variaties basically.
A friend of mine grew grape krush and it was nice, it's supposed to be a heavy yielder too

I'd attribute it more to fresh ripe grapes than Koolaid. It's definately got (at least what I had) a more fresh ripe grapes than koolaid taste.
I have heard the grape kool-aid description plenty though.

DJ short's is always sold out.. he doesn't produce much and a large amount go straight to cali clinics.
