Yes, with fresh cuttings it is very important that you spray them witn an anti-wilt spary or place them in a humidity dome until it roots, usually a week as long as other conditions are optimal. TEMP is a big one too. Fresh cuttings and seedling are very vulnerable to heat damage. Here's an easy chart i made from Jorge Cerventes Marijuana Horniculture Grow Bible to help with the initial process.

While you may have scanned, copy & pasted that image together, you should at least give a shout out to Jorge Cervantes' Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible, which is where you lifted that tutorial from. :nonono:

To the original poster, though it's long overdue... transplanting a clone too early is unwise as noted.  You must maintain high humidity for rooting success.
