my first growth was perfect from germ to harv. but these last few times ive germ'd, the plants initially grow very tall and skinny, 5-8 inches high with the initial growing spikes only, usually destine to fall down. this happens within 2-4 days after placing the germ'd seeds in my soil. also they sometimes are very light green. why are they so lanky to start?
i want them to grow more out like an indica and less tall~sativa

let me forget about today, until tomorrow."~bob dylan
that is generally caused by not enough light. Need more lumens, and the sag can be fixed with a simple cheap fan, blowing on them enough to move the leaves and rock the stem a little. Youd be suprised how much stronger that can make them. But pics would be helpful in troubleshooting.
first grow; the 6 female plants from seedling to harv were always within touching range of the two 4' cw-fluorescence lights, nice fan, and it turned out PERFECT. these seedlings were atleast 1' under the same cfl's for 3 days while they popped out and got tall and stringy so fast.
thanks man

Your first time they were within touching distance of your fluoros and they came out well. This time around you have them a foot away from your CFLs? Thats too far away. Put those CFL's 3" away from them, and get a fan to get them swaying in the breeze.
My friend has a few plants that he left in his window sill for a while. Now they are 6-7 inches tall and only have 2 actual serrated leaves, They're a month old or so, but it seems like an easy fix with a fan
