My dad just got home with this weeks bit from the food pantry and to my surprise they had food I liked!
So what did I do? Put my guitar down and started cooking me my families simple goulash Recipe that I will share with you all!
Ingredients for my family recipe. 2 lbs ground meat (In this case Venison) 2 cans sliced tomatoes (stewed tomatoes can also work here) 1 can whole tomatoes (yet again stewed tomatoes can substitute) 1 can tomato juice 1 can tomato sauce 1/4 lb cherry tomatoes 1 large box of noodles in this case Rottini (shells work best, Rottini and Penne work as well) 1 cup of water
Steps to preparation. 1: Brown the ground meat while boiling some water 2: Add the noodles to the water (I think everyone knows how to do this) 3: Add meat and tomatoes to a slow cooker and set on high 4: After there is a small simmer on the top of the slow cooker bring down to medium and add noodles. 5: let sit for as long as desire, my personal preference is to let it sit for 15 mins.
Some people may or may not like it, but it is our way of keeping from over spicing our food, since my family likes to keep our food really simple. But its taste is similar to spaghetti, for obvious reasons.
