 question about when to start

Alright so i plan on doing a grow this spring for my first time. i want to do an outdoor grow but i have a problem about when to start.
im at school right now and im gona be home for a week in the beginning of april around easter, should i try to start the grow then or should i wait until im done with school on may 10th. I dont know if may is too late to start or if thats a good time.
i live in the new england area btw

I would wait until May for a couple reasons: First of all, since you're up north you wanna make sure there is no chance of a late frost before you plant, and second if you'll be home from school on the tenth, you can more readily check on and nurture your plant. As I'm sure you know, it isn't exactly a set it and forget type product.

yeah dude, wait!lol. years ago when i got started my first was a gurilla. i planted 25 at various locations along a stream, ended up with only a 2. ( hey it was my first time!) but the deal was i planted in late March and by mid june i had to trim it just about every other day. It was 7 feet and 4 people could barely hold hands around it. but long story short it died. We had a weeks worth of rain early september and the creek flooded up so high that a foot of the plant was under water the entire time, it was just into budding too  and the other fucker, endend up being a male! But it was a nice first time experience and i learned alot from it.
