i got some compost from my local landfill, i guess its made of old leaves and grass and shit that people bring there. i also got some pretty finely ground up mulch to mix in with the compost to help airate it a little because the compost seemed a little thick. i mixed it about 60/40 (compost/mulch). Does this seem like a decent mixture for some outdoor plants this season? Also im unsure what the mulch is made from but, If the mulch is made from pine do u think it would mess with the PH of the soil much? its grinded up fairly well, i filled a few 5gallon buckets with the mixture and burried em in the ground. should i toss some seeds in and see how it responds or should i take some other type of action, maybe testing the soil? if so when should i do that, now or after it rains, or what? any input is appreciated.
