i read this on a website and i was wondering if it is a good idea? i im thinking it is because it makes the plant hard to recognize. i thought where i put my plant this year was good until one of my friends with experience in my area told me that a plant with direct sun lite all the time (like mine) in Florida started in early February like mine can get huge. what do you guys think? how big do you guys think this guy could get if grown naturally? i live very close to an airport so it scares me.

hmm i think it would be fun to try hard far down do you pinch it? like all the point off or down the the base of the point

I'd think that'd be a long process, wouldnt that stress the plant a bit to be always tearing leaves apart? i like to veg for about 3 monthes then flower, think i'll give it shot for shits and giggles, but i use clones instead from seed...hum....i'll try it anyways. I hate to see this strain any more potent, if its possible.

Depending on which strain you're growing, your plant in the full Florida sunlight can grow from 3 feet to 15 feet. Pinching off the tips of every leaf will be an arduous task and will require you to see your plants every 2-3 days for most of the season until about the end of august when flowering is in full force. If you have the time available to do this, go right ahead and experiment, but be prepared to spend ridiculous amounts of labor completing this endeavor.
Maybe someone else here on the Growery can experiment with this technique in their indoor garden and document the results to see if it really makes a difference? It would be interesting to say the least.

I have found that such things are normally BS, and does nothing more than stress the plants.

If security is an issue outdoors, try topping your plants during veg. Topping causes the plant to grow in a bush like form that is not as easily recognized as the characteristic 'Christmas tree' shape that pot usually grows in. You can also try low stress training by wiring the branches down to create multiple flowering tops on a level plain creating the same effect as topping.
