i'm getting twelve clones in 4" netpots of hydroton, that have been vegged 3 weeks already. i cant pull them out without damaging the root system, so what would you guys suggest i put them into? they'll be going under a 600w hps. my first idea was storage bin DWC (maybe three of the 18gal roughneck bins with 4 plants each) but im concerned about water temps being a possible issue.

diy dwc sounds cool, and you could just plant the pots and all in soil if ya wanted to.

but then the whole root system within the pots would dry up and die, i dont wanna shock them like that. i guess my choices are diy dwc, or setting them into bigger containers of hydroton and doing e&f.

No man, just bury the pots in the soil, not sitting on top.
I did this exact same thing on my first grow. We had a DWC system set up but due to high water temps we were getting some nasty algal growth on the roots, we simply lifted the plants out, soaked the root systems in H2O2 for awhile to clear the roots out, and then buried them up to the stem in soil.
Three weeks later;

ok , ok ,dro can be a pain in the ass but if ya got all the right equipment, its a piece of cake, i wouldnt waste money jerry rigging one up with stuff from ur local hardware store. You can still get some dank outta soil, and hell u may even like the taste better.
