various kinds of African genes to play with.
the setup.
Cabinet is mounted on the wall above my computer saves space.
Dimensions are: 150 cm wide x 50cm deep x 180cm tall.
It is divided in half (vertically) into 2 rooms of equal size (75wx50dx180t cm)
one room will be for flowering, the other for mothers and cloning.
Flower room
Lighting: CFL, mostly 2700K. Wattage currently is 200, this may change when they actually start flowering.
method: SCROG
Mother/Cloning room
Lighting: CFL Lighting. 6500k: 186 watts 2700K 121watts
Soil mix: 40% coco powder. 40% garden soil (heavy but nothing like clay). 10% pumice. 5% compost (mostly loam i think right now). 5% pellet chicken shit fertilizer.
suggestions welcomed!!!!

cab.
Here it is now, in all its unorganized glory. i am using it for many other plants....right now its filled with B. caapi seedlings....they will get the boot when the weed is needing the space.
As you can see, the fan/ventilation scenario is still in limbo
the plants:
Paper towel germination method. 7 seeds of Transkie to start.
3 germ'd on 3/3/09
4/3/09 First one breaks the soil (barely) and 2 more germinated. 5/7 so far.
5/3/9 3 are sprouted and above ground, another seed cracked. so 3/7 growing, 5/7 germinated.
more pics to come as time goes one.

You're going to have one hell of a time keeping those sativas in such a small space. I love all the cacti and such though, shows your green thumb. I can't wait to see how this one goes!

Looks like I see some pereskiopsis and maybe some williamsi grafts? Nice. I don't understand why you would keep the cacti in a cabinet though. Thats totally unnecessary. If you are using CFLs with the cacti, expect etiolated cacti.
IDK, if you spend any time at the shroomery, but there are plenty of cactophiles in the ethnobotanical garden forum. Some of us have tons of lophophora .
Keep us posted on the MJ. I am thinking that fan is too big.

With some swazi (most prominant african strain.) and maby some durban, you might would need to get those guys into outdoor, that or top them at each growth from the third node up.

It's spelt Transkei. I love that place, they grow mostly swazi genetics, and the place is chuck full of magic mushrooms. It is a giant grassland with a lot of cows, so psylocybe transkei grows EVERYWHERE. I am going there this april for some mushroom hunting.
