i'm having a hard time with this, me in Israel she's in Spain... waiting!
waiting for the goddamn papers to make the visa and get out of here, not really here, getting depressed in my parents house in my old room, having no motivation to do anything ales!!!
if we had a lot of money, if i had done things different, if the world wasn't like it is... if and if and...
and i'm so frustrated not finding how to do what i need to do!
talking on skype all the time trying to deal with all the facts, trying to face reality trying to feel loved and be loved, trying to love...
i'm not a brave person and that's one of the reasons i chose to go, so i would have to deal with things but i keep hitting these walls, the walls of modern day society, keep wishing to break these walls...
finding my self posting about it in a forum makes me feel a little silly but i guess it serves it's purpose in a way 
setting my clock to wake up early tomorrow!
at least that's some start 
any insights to share?

Sorry to hear about your situation man. I've never been in such a spot myself so I really don't know what to say. I understand what you mean about posting it. I often find it helpful to write about what's bothering me but it seems like a pointless endeavor if no one is going to read it. It can help organize and analyse what's going on in your head. I hope things in life improve for ya soon.

you're spot on, i've been using the Shroomery for a long time as a sort of jurnal, i've made lots of these kinds of posts...
lately though it's harder to get the real participation we used to get a few years back (which made me call shroomery my home!) so i thought this time i'll try the personal stuff here
and yeah, i just didn't feel the need to explain why i'm here... post counts and registered date is no measure for anything
maybe a welcome would have been more appropriate

i'm trying to move to Spain... its a process and i've only just begun...
we've had a two month break before i came for 4 months and then had to leave to come get a student visa, i came back on new years eve.
finding a closer partner is out of the question of course

Welcome to teh Growery! Actually it is nice to see ya posting. Wish it was about better times for your sake.
I know about the journal thing well because I do it too. I can't even guess how many long posts I've typed just to hit the back button and just let it go. There are a few I didn't do that on and probably should have.
There was a pretty tight not core of very cool posters here a while back. I almost immediately felt more at home here than I did after a couple of years on the Shroomery. It;s nice to have both though. A lot have been lost in the bit recent of restructuring of the social forums. It's slowly building back though.
I take it a vist to your girl or vise versa is out of the question atm or we probably wouldn't be talking about this. I have not been apart from my girl for more than 3 days at a time in 17 years. I would be hurting to. I'd go absolutely nuts to be honest. I wish you the best man.

wow, 17 year and you've never been away for longer then 3 days??? that's strange to me...
it has it's pros and cons though
we're thinking about getting her here but we don't really have the money to indulge right now. although i certainly feel like she gives a shit about the money, which makes it more confusing.

Yeah. I have 12 and 15 year old boys. That may shed a bit of light on the reason we've always been together. It goes beyond that though. We always have been and still are best friends. In addition to living together married we also worked side by side everyday at the same place for years. Most relationships probably couldn't survive that I don't think.
Company just showed up. Cutting this short. For now at least.

it's really fucking hard being far away from the person you love. at least you and your girl are on the same continent.
the person i love lives in New Zealand, with me in California. i get to see him once every year to two years. sure we talk almost every day, but it's not quite the same.
as long as you love each other, things will work out, and you and your girl can be together.

Actually Israel part of Asia. Contrary to popular belief Asia is not the same continent as Europe. Still a lot closer than Cali to new Zealand though.
Simisu where do u live in Israel? Maybe we could meet up and it might help you take your mind off things.
Hope everything works out with your girl, I can imagine what your going through. It sounds like u really love her so I know it will work out between you two.

I'm making aliyah, hanging out in tel aviv while I wait to go to Ulpan. Well waiting to be placed on a kibbutz to do the volunteer program at because my Ulpan doesn't start until April. Then I can go to kibbutz tzuba to do my Ulpan and get my Hebrew up to par. I love it here just had the most delicious shawarma at agenda now I'm. hanging out in the hostel sippin on some goldstar.
Lol @ the video those ss were silly to try and park ok bugrashov it's right by my hostel and there's nowhere to park anywhere, they should have just gone to hayarkon it's only like 15 shekel to park in the lots there.

BTW i finely have some progress!!!
today some letter arrived and i can finely apply for the visa, fingers crossed tomorrow will be ok and in some time i'll be on my way!
meanwhile i manage to fuck up some other things, but i won't get into it right now.
doitagain i'm going to Tel Aviv tomorrow for the embassy maybe we could meet for some  later...

i always think of it as one huge eurasian continent. at least it's the same landmass. and yes, it's a hell of a lot closer than California to New Zealand.
