Lawl. I have to quote something for you guys its from my Psychology book by David G. Myers 8th edition in modules.

Marijuana is very slightly psychedelic at very high doses. The sad part is this just came out and its "updated". I don't think we'll ever get an accurate view of drugs from main stream sources.

I've taken MDMA a number of times, when pure i have never hallucinated. It does give me light sensitivity but i don't think that brings it to being one of the best known hallucinogens. Marijuana i could see. LSD is definitely a good example.
I think people who get visuals from MDMA have actually eaten MDA a similar chemical. Remember hallucinogens distort vision, and MDMA really doesn't give visuals. I've never had someone recommend MDMA for the visuals.

everyone is different. Im sure there are people out there that are more susceptible to hallucinations on any drug.
I get slight visuals off legit MDMA and also weed
I know MDA, it gets me really lit up

Weird for me personally it has never happened. MDMA is afterall an amphetamine derivative. It releases dopamine and released serotonin then blocks re-absorption of serotonin. Some anti depressants work the same way which is why you dont mix E with them. I wonder if people trip off anti depressants.

ha. IF you take an overdose of an SSRI like prozac you will get delusional hallucinations. For some reason my friend tried it in highschool.

well a hallucinogen is defined as a drug that makes you hallucinate. And hallucinations can be defined as:
Perception of visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or gustatory experiences without an external stimulus and with a compelling sense of their reality, usually resulting from a mental disorder or as a response to a drug.
So with that in mind MDMA is a hallucinogen.

Wow taking a lot of antidepressant sounds like a horrible idea.
I guess you do get "tactile hallucinations" so that would make sense. Calling it one of the best known hallucinogens just seems wrong though.

Yea i usually need higher doses of most substances to trip. Salvia was nearly impossible for me to trip off. 20 or so attempts. Smoked it probably 30 times and about 3 were interesting.
