No, I've had the 190 proof absinthe from overseas and it was nothing special. Save your money for more liquor.

I'm thinking about getting a bottle of good absinthe, a cup for the absinthe, the special slotted spoon, and the sugar cubes you use.
To do it right its expensive. Is it much different from alcohol?

You could ust buy some wormwood and make some yourself so you know it's good. Or just buy some wormwood and smoke it.

I was reading a recipe on Shroomery. You need a bunch of herbs. Thujone is psychedelic component, but i hear it doesnt really make you trip out or anything wild.
I also hear like 90% of the brands people buy in or out of the country are bunk. It has to do with how they are made and the ingredients used. A bottle of some nice Absinthe can be $80-$120 a liter.

I made a batch from an old recipe years ago before it was available here. I made sure to use extra wormwood. Tasted great. The high was about the same as alcohol up until I had drink a large amount. The last time I that I passed out walking across the room. I woke up thinking someone had hit me from behind. WTF? I let some friends finish the rest of that.
I've got some ASENTE brand here now. It's good. I don't care to get drunk off of it but It's great for sitting around with a few friends doing the whole slotted spoon and sugar thing. It's all about the ritual. If you are more interested in the buzz just buy more of whatever alcohol you already like the best.
Also if you don't like licorice don't bother at all.
