k i found a seed in my bud awhile ago and i threw it into a pot with another plant that I have outside on my patio. It hasn't been too long and already a stem grew out with the seed at the top! holy shit! does this mean the environment for the seed is good and I can allow it to continue growing there? or should i start taking special precautions?
I wouldn't say it necessarily means the environment is optimal for growing cannabis, but it does say you had a viable seed and provided the right conditions for it to germinate.
You're definitely going to need to transplant it because it's not going to have enough room in the pot with the other plant.
How big is your pot? What kind of growing medium (soil) are you using? Is the winter going to stump the plants veg growth or do you live in a warmer area? Are people going to see a 4-6 marijuana plant growing on your porch? If so you need to get it indoors and under a flourecent grow light (very cheap wal mart, menards, home depot) until the end of the vegetative cycle. At which point you will need to invest in a higher powered grow light (at least 150 watt high pressure sodium).

sorry i wasn't specific enough. I threw it into a pot that i have in my patio that grows vines. not another pot plant. I threw it in not expecting anything. It's not under optimal conditions, i actually didn't expect a sprout since winter has been so cold, but yes i did germinate it.i was only wondering if it was possible for it to continue growing in the same area that has been working so far.
well you misunderstood me then. If the container your seedling is in is already housing the roots of ANY other plant, you wont have enough room for both. Each of your cannabis plants should have it's own container unless you're growing in a big enough medium (like a huge box or tub meant for multiple plants). If we're just talking about a potting plant container it's not going to have enough room for both.
