so's i had to bring in my outdoors and have been seeing caterpillars grazing all over some of my dank nugs. i bought some safer brand caterpillar killer stuff but im hesitant to use it because its so close to harvest (a week on some). what should i do?

Maybe spray soapy water on them. No idea if that would help or not. Just something to try. Bugs suck.

chemicals and nets are the only way to get rid of them....they wreck havoc everywhere they go, even in small numbers!

I'm sure you could get some sort of preditorial animal/insect.
I'd assume a praying mantis would eat them.

I was having the same problem. I went to lowes and got some organic pesticides. Smelled exactly like fish and stained a few pairs of my pants but it did the job.

You need to look up organic pest control. Most sites that sell organic fertilizers will sell some form of organic pest control. Check www.planetnatural.com
Just to get an idea of what products are available. Since harvest is soon you will probably need to go out and buy it promptly.

that dyatamacious (or however the hell you spell it) earth stuff does wonders but only works well if you put it on the soil early in the season. I grow in NC and caterpillars are a bitch and this season, I used D. earth and found i think 2 or 3 total on a 5lb+ harvest.
