 Arjan's Ultra Haze#2 plus Critical - My First Grow

Dear farmers,
This is my grow diary. It's not complete but in the beginning I have no intention to start it at all. Later I realize that I want to share with somebody ... It's kind of paradox that I'm showing this to complete strangers but not to my best friends.
Setup description:
Strains:
3xArjan's Ultra Haze #2
1XCritical
Light:
125 W CFL DUAL light
125 W CFL RED light
Soil:
Plagron royalty mix
Nutrtion:
Bio Bizz grow
Bio bizz bloom
Watering:
Blumat
I've started with the Critical. I've put the seed on 27.08 and it germinated on 03.09. Yhe setup was really simple a container on my balcony. On 05.09 I've added 3 more AUH#2 seeds which germinated on 08.09.
After a week or so I've added an additional 20 W bulb borrowed by a friend. After 2 more weeks i put the ladies in the wardrobe only with this funny bulb - there were no CFLs in the growshops around. In the beginning of October I finally got my CFLs and I was really happy. My wardrobe was looking like this

In the beging I was using only the DUAL light CFL. It is for vegging and flowering both.
I've problems with watering , pH you can take a look at this thread. I really appreciate your support.
With the start of flowering I've upgrade my wardrobe at Monday 20.10 . I add a carbon filter
And I've started both bulbs 
And these here you are some pics of my ladies
I'm open for advices and propositions.

I've a little problem ... the vertical lamp is just 1 centimeter away from the leafs and some get burned ... is that going to stress the plants seriously?

Nice log! I'm glad to see you started one. It's great to be able to tell someone about your grow, none of my friends have any idea either.
Burned leaves aren't fatal, and they won't stunt growth noticeably, don't worry about it. Make sure it doesn't happen again and you will be fine. Keep up the great work!

How long it will take to start flowering? I've switched to 12/12 since Monday and there is no visible change. And there are some new photos

It may take 2-3 weeks before you see any signs of flowering.

Did somebody invent some kind of time machine ... This so slow i'm pissed of stupid drug dealers . It's better with shrooms every 2-3 weeks harvest

2-3 weeks harvest....I hate you. I must have done something wrong TWICE cause my shrooms are taking long as hell. Like my PE is just stuck and my B+ is just stupid ><...Rant over. But yeah, you'll start to see buds here before TOO long. Just sit back and buy what you have to now and then 5 weeks later you can be like "No thanks douchebags!"

does anyone have info on how to tell apart the arjan strains by description? like Haze#2 is more fuck you up this way then Haze#1

I mean like... White Widow and White Rhino are very similar. Amagine if they were named White 1 and White 2. You could say White Rhino has a heavy stone and White Widow has a more functional high. Some key selling points or something. I wouldn't mind Arjan's Strawberry Haze me thinks.
What other Arjan strains have you grown?

I have a question - when you buy seeds it says that it takes let's say 6-8 weeks flowering period. When you start to count the weeks? After you switch to 12/12 or after you see first visible signs?

6-8 weeks flowering time (12/12) some seed banks advertise short flowering times though you should harvest when you want to according to how mature trichomes are.
if you gave them 24hours of light they would never finish.

yeah
ideally you would harvest according to trichome maturity but I've harvested @ 8-9 weeks with 7-8week plants. You could just chop at 8weeks and you'll be fine.

Double check for light leaks in your grow area. If no light is getting in to disrupt your dark period, then you are just going to have to wait it out. 10 days isn't that long into flower, be patient.

My girls were 16 days into their flower period when I first saw pistils. Just be patient. I know, it's hard at times heh. Now my ladies are about 16 days from harvest. Time flies when you're havin' fun, eh?

I'm sure that no light is going in - because no light is going out . Is is it possible to have a delay because it is not pure RED light? I mean there is about 30% blue light.

I'm also starting to think that it's very nice because a lot flowers are starting on lower levels. I still have burned leaves but I'm gonna fix this.

Guys,
I need advice. On of the hazes is about 65 centimeters (about 26") high. I have maximum 60 more grow space , and 16 days has passed since I've started 12/12 light.I'll need at least 70 more days flowering. What do you think - should I TOP it or FIM or nothing or SCROG on this level or ... I don't know?

Whats you're experiencing is the stretch at the beginning of flowering. It can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks after switching to flower, after which, vertical growth slows and flowers develop at full steam. I would bend it down LST style, its a bit late in the game to be topping or fimming. The stretch should stop pretty soon, good luck.

Yea, its certainly possible to roll a cigar from the fan leaves. Just dry them out properly, make hash oil, and learn to roll a cigar.

Do you have any ideas what to do with the leaves except hash or smoking? Is there any good recipe to make CannaButter out of fresh leaves?

I made cannabutter out of about 2oz of fresh trim. Only used about a half stick of butter and it came out decently potent.

The timer button was on wrong possition ... I just reorganized the cables and moved the fuckin button(by mistake) a little down and it bypass the timer... stupid shit ...

Bummer. It was only one day correct? It should not cause too much of a problem; just make sure it doesn't happen again. Check the flowers closely every couple of days and look out for male flowers. If you find any, just pinch them off and check more carefully from then on. A couple stress balls won't kill your plant.

I once had the electricity go off for like 3 days. They started to smell rather on the strong side. I'm guessing they went into flower due to the long dark period.

Hi guys I was skiing for 3 weeks and my flowers are not looking so nice any more. Lower leaves are very drropy and easy falling. One of the hazes has very yellowish lower leaves. I have humidity problem for sure ... but I can't solve it. I'm open for any advices ... i have to cure the ladies because I'm leaving in week and they will on auto pilot again. They lasted 3 weeks in soil without any TLC?? God damn this plant is hardy!!

You single-handedly turned some fine herb into some stress. If you don't care about quality, your grow is going just fine, I guess. If you're expecting some "heady nugs," I wouldn't get your hopes up.
