I think this was/is a problem at the Shroomery, and I'm not even sure how you would go about fixing this (your the script genius though, not me.)
If I'm in the Smoke Lounge (or any other forum besides WAF presumably) and I read this thread, therefore eliminating any unread posts, and go back to the index it will have WAF up as if there are new posts, and this thread would be the one listed, but there aren't really any new posts.
Don't know if I explained that well or not.

Yeah I don't think that's a Growery-specific problem, the post tracking with this BB has always been a little weird despite all our best efforts. Someday we'll get it fixed, I agree it can be annoying.

The graph for a user's posting volume may not have enough data yet to display a line, based on whatever time scale it is using.
Registrations and all things email related (i.e. thread subscriptions), are down because our mail server is dead.
We are working to have new hardware put in place as soon as possible.

Just some freak hardware trouble so far as I know. We don't currently have a contact in close physical proximity to our server equipment, so when hardware blows up it can take a few days to get things back to normal.
