I enjoy it, because it gives me stuff to do in the day, I only have at most 2 classes a day at school (where i am now), and since I live off campus and carpool, I have to wait around a lot for my ride....
The growery + Ikariam + Skype + alluc = Anna's down time at school.
(oh yea and sometimes school work  )

Yea I need lots of gold and building materials for colonizing....
hmmm I guess I did go too cheap for the first time, I sold it at 10 per unit, then changed it to 30....

Pillaging first town, its inactive (chances are everyone else pillaged them) so hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me on the ass....

i've pillaged everyone on my island that i thought i could beat, around 4 people. one deleted his account the next day and some brand new guy with 40 points is there... he has no clue what awaits him. i got next to nothing from all of them... pretty lame.
i'm about to start pillaging with my wine colony in the near future... i'm tired of waiting for wood and shit.
good tip for defence:
your wall needs to be at least the same level as your town hall. having a lower level wall and a higher level town hall actually hurts you.

your best bet is to set up a colony on a marble island. that way you can get as much marble as you want whenever you need it and a lot faster. don't have to depend on anyone.
