I had been waiting, and as of today it has almost been a month since I placed the order, but I finally got the package today.
The end of the envelope was sliced open and put back together with scotch tape. Inside were just many layers of folded, blank white paper. There had been a staple holding something to the most inner piece of paper because there was a staple tear mark, but no staple even. I am very sad, but I feel a little too paranoid to order again. Plus, that was more than $100.00 I could have flushed down the toilet or lit on fire.

www.sensibleseeds.com -- they know what they're doing, plus you can get strains from almost every breeder in the 'dam. You won't have any issues with shipping.

Meh. I'd still rather grow out a top notch strain over bag seed if I'm going to be taking the risk of growing at all.
Although I've smoked some good bud grown from bad seed, so it wouldn't suck or anything.

Go threw everything. Often people have thrown away seeds in Docs packaging. I can safely tell you that if the seeds were taken by customs there would be a note telling you.
If you found no seeds and no notice on the package as to who took them cause if was a government agency or involved with the mail service there would be a note. I'd look into who knew the seeds were coming cause it sounds like they were stolen.
They always leave a note so you don't go out killing somebody cause you think they took the seeds instead.

yeah, they usually say "seeds confiscated" or along those lines... this happened once to me which is why I dont wanna order online.. im kinda bugged out by it now  wish i could get hooked up w/ a dude already w/ some dank and get some clones.

QFT. It wasn't the government - there would have been green tape and a form letter. Also, it certainly wasn't any fault of Dr. Chronic.

There was NOBODY other than me that knew I had ordered seeds. Also, the envelope had clearly been tampered with. The whole side had been cut open and then taped back together. I went through everything inside the envelope, and it was nothing but 5 sheets of blank white paper folded into quarters. The paper in the very middle had a tear from a staple being ripped out, but nothing else. There was no note or other writing indicating it had been seized by a government agency.
Someone, government official or not, removed what was inside.

Have you contacted Dr. Chronic yet to inform him of the situation? I'd definitely recommend doing so if you haven't already.
By the way, was going to post this in my last one but I was in a hurry to eat, but that really sucks it happened like that. It must have felt really shitty to finally get your shipment and have the seeds ripped right out. It definitely didn't occur in customs though, and I'm sure Dr. Chronic will help you get it replaced.

I got mine confiscated a while ago too from Doc, accept there was a letter from customs. I did get a whole bunch of white blank paper too and the green tape and told doc and he didn't even reply. That was around when he stated on his site that he doesn't ship to US even though he still does from what I hear. I'd personally go with a different bank if I was gonna order ever again. IDK what happens if you get seeds accepted twice though same thing, or a visit?

You have to realize though that seeds getting confiscated in U.S. customs are due to the simple fact that all mail is subjected to random searches, as there's simply no way they could screen for certain addresses from seed-banks, unless you are making that decision based on the fact that he didn't respond back. Hard to say what happened there, might have had something to do with the fact that he's only shipping to the U.S. with the attitude of "your on your own 'cause I can't take the loss due to your country's customs", but I usually hear about his good customer service.
Don't know about having them seized more than once, but I don't think anyone has ever been visited as a result of seed seizures... the sheer amount of all the different kinds of stuff they seize every day makes getting two envelopes for the same address pretty irrelevant, I'd have to think...
Back to Dr. Chronic though, his stealth, inside and out, is probably the best there is.

yeah he's all I ever ordered from. If you look at other forums I won't mention, a lot of seizures have been happening only at certain hubs in the US recently that's why I think he stated no more US shipments because customs takes them people get angry or they never get them and do a charge back to their card this is just a guess.

I do know this from talking to Doc in person. He hates to ship to TX, IL, NY, and the Boston area. He seems to have the most packages taken from those areas esp Dallas.
Then in some states where you can go to the store and pick up smoke, a clone let alone seeds he says he rarely has a problem.
You know I don't hear very much about missing packages from Seed Boutique but I don't know much about them. Maybe somebody else can let us know about there success.

The Illinois thing makes sense, considering how many reports I've read about the Chicago hub being exceptionally good at confiscating seeds. Regarding Seed Boutique and Seedbay, I do see reports of seized seeds happening while reading through ICMag. Every time the topic comes up, everyone feels compelled to list how many times they've received seeds and whether or not they've lost packages, and my unscientific conclusion is 95% of people get their seeds all the time from them with no problems.

So, I feel compelled to ask the question that probably nobody has the answer to...
...If I were to order again, and it were "confiscated" (assuming that is what happened) again, is that going to increase my chance that I have some form of police knocking at my door?

I would doubt it would cause a problem, but even if they did show up at your door, it is only a problem if you are growing at that address. Possessing seeds may be illegal, but they never came into your possession if they seize them.

It's all about packaging. If the companies ship them correctly there will be no problems. You've just got to use one that knows what they're doing.
Some seedbanks don't care, because they are being paid either way. If the seeds don't make it that's your problem.

Shipping correctly = Discreet envelope, cover item inside envelope, seeds hidden inside cover item or inside cardboard of the packaging.
I had a package opened, presumably by customs, and when I searched through it, the seeds were still inside! They looked but still didn't find the goods.

Here's what you say to any cop that happens to knock at your door even if you ARE growing at your place (usually they wouldn't follow up I don't think). "No officer. I have NO IDEA why that company would be sending me these letters." Don't mention seeds. Don't mention growing. Don't even mention letters if they don't bring it up. Don't even admit you know OF the company. It's not a crime to receive mail you don't want  .

That's DEA, don't order to that address again. after the Emery bust my second order to the same address got the blank paper and no letter, I am sure it was DEA watching all the boxes after the emery confiscations. Nothing bad happened thankfully. get a new box

See this sort of thing bothers me. Even if the seeds never made into ones posession, they are logged and recorded as possible conspirator. If you have had a seizure of "illegals", and you order again...FBI, DEA, and local police can and have acted on that and let said package be delivered, or have a notice sent in mail to come pick up package at the post office...at which point as soon as you receive the package and turn to leave...bam, out come the law and you are arrested and your package opened, and walla..you have been caught. And can be charged with a number of offenses related to. Heard of it, seen it and if you just place a call to your local authorities they will tell you that yes this does happen.
So be very carefull. Not everyone gets busted, does'nt mean it does'nt happen though..beleive that.

I'll second that! I ordered my first online seeds from a company in the UK (their website is blac/red, I say this because I forgot the co. name) and they sent me a floppy disk with a piece of cardboard. I figured it was in the disk but they weren't. Out of frustration I ripped the cardboard backer and sure enough in the grooves of the cardboard was a rolled up bag w/ 10 seeds.

Thats pretty cool. But I have to think that they would know most of the tricks used, and if they did'nt know about this one, they probably do by now. It's a chance thing. Not every package gets looked at, at least thats what I hear anyway. And the way the laws change all the time, it may be possible for a search warrant to be issued just on the grounds of illegal seeds/smuugling/trafficking.
I love looking at those fine specemins of dank kind and have always wanted to start a crop using white widow or skunk no 1, or even barneys sweet tooth fems...but I want no parts of the law even close to me. I guess I'm skeert. And I don't even smoke it anymore.

Think about it, the reason you don't hear from these cases on the internet can be because:
As they are in prison, they have no internet, so they just look like some guy who stopped posting.
By the time they get out of prison, there account is ancient history, and they are probably scared shitless through prison and won't ever grow again, and be paranoid about smoking weed, and never post on the internet about it.
So, the likelihood of you actually hearing about these cases is rare, do you hear about one in a thousand busts? No, because there is a bust every 45 seconds, JUST IN THE US. So, if you where to hear about one in a thousand busts, you'd get so paranoid that you will never smoke again.
