ok, i'm sorry. it's been a while since i've read the davinci code or angels and demons, whichever mentions this machine.

what exactly does this thing do? and why is it going to "destroy the world"?

When activated, it is theorized that the collider will produce the elusive Higgs boson, the observation of which could confirm the predictions and missing links in the Standard Model of physics and could explain how other elementary particles acquire properties such as mass.

Although a few individuals have questioned the safety of the planned experiments in the media and through the courts,[6] the consensus in the scientific community is that there is no basis for any conceivable threat from the LHC particle collisions.[7][8]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Hadron_Collider

Quote:

Concerns have been raised (including two legal challenges) regarding the safety of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) on the grounds that high-energy particle collisions performed in the LHC might produce dangerous phenomena, including micro black holes, strangelets, vacuum bubbles and magnetic monopoles.[1][2][3][4] Individuals such as Walter L. Wagner and Otto Rössler have argued in the media and through the courts that the LHC experiments are unsafe and should be stopped.[5]

Much of the concern over the LHC has arisen due to the interpretation of comments made by Martin Rees, an English cosmologist and astrophysicist who is President of the Royal Society and has been the Astronomer Royal since 1995. Rees authored the book Our Final Century: Will the Human Race Survive the Twenty-first Century? in which he estimates a 50% chance that mankind will destroy itself before the year 2100.[6] Rees calculated that the probability of the Large Hadron Collider to produce a global catastrophe or black hole is 1 in 50 million[1][7][8] However, Rees has also reported not to be "losing sleep over the collider," and trusts the scientists who have built it.[9] He has stated, "My book has been misquoted in one or two places. I would refer you to the up-to-date safety study."[10]

tl;dr
They're going to smash particles together in hopes that they will unlock the secrets of particle physics, but probably kill us all in the process.

since the world ends tomorrow...

30mg oxycodone chewed up and swallowed with water...
15mg waiting to go up the nose in a few...

anyone know what the maximum safe dosage is to take for people with no tolerance? i've done 30mg at once up the nose before and barely felt any effects.

I wouldn't use more than 90mg, 45-60mg sounds about right.

excellent, how about you?

funny thing, someone broke into my buddy's house and ran off with his GUN SAFE.

it was bolted to the wall, they ripped it off

sad part is, it only had one gun in it, some porno mags, and about 5-10 oxys/roxis cos my buddy was about to run out

that sucks, i had a bunch of guns stolen out of my dads house once. they are not replaceable as my great grandfather and great uncle gave them to me. my dad had like $10,000 in guns stolen (big hunter/gun nut).

i'm pretty good, been super busy lately though. should be studying, but i need a break tonight. how are your tomato plants doing?

on another note, i've been collecting bag seed for next outdoor season.

they're looking good, one of my better ones was partially eaten by a deer or some other woodland creature :mad2:

so I went ahead and chopped it, and just finished smoking up the last bit of it

i chopped all the males a while back, also, gonna save em to use in an ice-o-lator

probably going to leave the rest of the girls out til at least the end of october, maybe
